Women's Sexual Trauma This can include rape, molestation, abuse, or any form of sexual violence committed against a woman as a child or adult. Help in this area comes from healing those wounds through therapy and recovery work. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) use can also work in this area. Women's Addictions This can be in any area of addiction where the woman's life is unmanageable or out of control. It can also be if the woman feels she is headed down a road of compulsions and obsessions and is seeking help before it becomes full blown. Help and recovery in this area will be healing the past wounds and moving into a program of positive approach to managing life without these protective mechanisms. EMDR may also be used for these areas along with a 12-Step Approach and group support. Relationship Issues This can be any area of disturbance with a partner or a family member (including parents). Perhaps things have broken down in this area and need real healing and mending. These often revolve around issues with intimacy and lack of communication skills or unresolved past issues.
